I actually thought they were really quick reads and I didn't find the resolutions to any of the three books anti-climactic. I actually tore through the first two, mostly over the holidays. They were a nice break from 'serious' fiction, albeit badly written.

I've heard that the Twilight actress, Kristin Stewart, might play Lisbeth. In which case, I will likely not watch it. Her lip chewing is like nails on a chalkboard to me. Blergh is right.

I was propelled through the first Larsson book on the recommendation of my sister-in-law, though I was sort of losing interest even before the mystery was solved, which in itself was anti-climactic. I began the second book with much less enthusiasm, and then had to stop reading it entirely, as it just seemed a bit dead-pan for the subject matter.

One would think a story about the sex trade and S&M would have a bit more punch, but after uninspired lists of Ikea purchases and some alluded-to (but never described) sex, I realised the plot was not enough of an incentive to keep turning the book's many, many pages. Blergh.

I might actually bother seeing the film though. I'm curious to know how the characters will be visualised, and a few hours of my time is far less a sacrifice than 500 pages worth of reading.
